I don't think you can be taught to write in the literal sense. What you can do is make friends with your inner critic, remove the obstacles to your creativity and allow your natural talent to shine through. When you make a commitment to trust your instincts and flex your writing muscles day after day, they will become strong, consistent, dependable and available.

The goal is to manage your avoidance, confusion and dread when you’re trying to make the journey from the couch to the computer. We all find ourselves there from time to time. That’s a given for any artist. But there are practical ways around and through those blocks. When you invite patience and presence into the writing process, when you approach the muse as a loyal lover, when you stop chasing her and let her find you, writing becomes something to anticipate, not with dread, but rather with curiosity and wonder.
