During the first meeting, things hadn’t gone smoothly. She had been withdrawn and guarded and she looked a little suspicious, as if I were the enemy. I had signed a lengthy NDA before I even saw her. I would honor it “in perpetuity” as the wording went, I respected her and would never share her information, but it wasn’t enough for her. She was still untrusting.
The need I have had my entire life is to journal. I resist calling myself a writer. I am a diarist. My need to observe, than process in order to remain sane in a most complicated world. I love your words. 12 years ago i self published my observations of the self help writers. That was before the explosion of the coaching business. Now i wrestle with my why. Why take the last 12 years, thru covid times, 7 grandchildren , ranging in in ages from 2 to 7. Stilling the mind has become more challenging these days, but when I read a heartfelt piece of writing i know i cannot stop needing to share my experience in the hopes that it will bring some comfort to others.
