How many times in the past have I dealt with disappointment by railing at "the politicians" ( a catch-all substitute for "they", in the education profession), the prejudice of others (another version of "them"), the Federal Reserve Board "stealing" my money-on and on. None of that changed anything, so I have evolved into one who lives as things are.
